Cellar Notes is a private, offline wine tasting journal. This policy explains what information the app handles and how that information remains under your control.
Cellar Notes stores the tasting information you enter, including wine identity, sensory assessments, personal ratings, notes, optional price and location text, and selected bottle photos. This content is stored locally in the app’s private container on your device.
Cellar Notes does not create an account, operate a backend, transmit tasting records or photos to the developer, collect analytics, display advertising, track users, or sell personal information. No third-party SDK receives data from the app.
Bottle photos are optional. You select individual images through Apple’s system photo picker. Cellar Notes creates a downsampled JPEG copy for local storage and does not scan or upload the rest of your photo library.
Your operating system may include the app’s local data in device or iCloud backups according to your Apple account and system settings. Those backups are provided and governed by Apple, not by Cellar Notes.
Your data remains on the device until you delete it or remove the app. You can delete a single tasting from its detail screen, discard an unfinished draft, or remove every tasting and stored bottle photo from About → Delete all tasting data.
Because the developer does not receive or hold your tasting data, there is no server-side account or remote copy for the developer to access, export, or delete.
Cellar Notes is about wine tasting and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
If the app’s data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the changed version is released.
